A warm-toned water bottle made of 99.9% pure copper, with a printed Flower of Life design along its side. Copper is a timeless, distinctive material that has been used as a drinking vessel in India for more than two thousand years.
Copper in the Ayurvedic tradition
According to Ayurveda, the ancient tradition of India, water stored in a copper vessel supports the balance of the three energies circulating in the body – the doshas (Vata: air, Kapha: water, Pitta: fire). The old Indian custom of copper drinking bottles reflects this tradition. This is a traditional view, not a medical fact; the bottle is, above all, a beautiful, durable drinking vessel.
The Flower of Life design
The Flower of Life is one of the best-known patterns of sacred geometry: a row of regularly arranged, overlapping circles. Tradition holds it as a symbol of the connection of all life and the universe. Here it is a subtle printed decoration on the copper surface.
Material and use
The bottle is made of 99.9% pure copper; polished and lacquered on the outside, polished inside. Its capacity is 750 ml. Use it for cold water only – it is not suitable for milk, citrus or acidic liquids. Because copper conducts heat, do not fill it with hot liquid, so you do not burn your hands.
Care
The copper surface may patina naturally over time; it can be freshened with a soft cloth, and if needed with a lemon-and-salt method on the untreated inner surface. Rinse with clean water before and after filling.
Good to know
Recommended for cold drinking water only. Keep it dry if it is not in use for a longer period.
