A colourful letter W cut from MDF, 15 cm tall. The board is 8 mm thick, and each letter weighs about 52 g. Made in Indonesia.
This is a pack of 6 letter Ws in assorted colours. Colours vary from pack to pack and cannot be chosen one by one, so yours may differ from the picture.
Who needs a W?
W is rare in Hungarian words but common in family names of German origin, such as Wagner, Weisz, Wolf or Werner. If your surname starts with W, this is the letter you need for initials or a name on the door. English words need it too, WELCOME for one.
Names and words on a bookshelf
Combine letters and numbers to spell a name, a year or a short word on a bookshelf, a chest of drawers or a child's bedroom door. It looks best leaning against the wall. Being light, it can also go on a wall or a door with a sticky pad or double-sided tape. Test the adhesive in a hidden spot first, so the wall paint does not peel when you take it down.
With six Ws in the pack, there are enough for a word like WOW, and the rest can become initials on family members' bedroom doors. As the colours are mixed, a spelled-out name usually comes out bright and varied. If you want lettering in one colour, you can paint over the letters with acrylic paint, which MDF takes well.
Indoors only
MDF is pressed wood fibreboard. In damp places it soaks up moisture and swells, so keep it out of the bathroom and the garden. Direct sunlight may fade the colour over time. A dry, soft cloth is all it needs for dusting.
