This gemstone wooden coaster has an outer rim of mango wood, with semi-precious stones inside and a round copper tree of life motif, all set in durable polyester resin. The warmth of the wood, the colour of the stones and the shine of the copper come together into a refined, decorative piece.
The stones and the tree of life
In this version the stones are: green aventurine and tiger eye. The Tree of Life is an ancient motif of a tree spreading its branches and roots, a symbol of growth, connection and balance. The makers set the conductive copper motif alongside the stones in the spirit of orgonite; this is an esoteric tradition rather than a proven physical effect.
A versatile accent
The coaster is a lovely accent on a table or windowsill and can be used in several ways. Those who enjoy the tradition often rest a glass or bottle of water on it for a short while, or set their jewellery on it, as a symbolic, atmospheric gesture rather than for any medical purpose.
Material and make
The coaster is made of a mango-wood rim, natural semi-precious stones, copper and polyester resin, measuring around 10 centimetres across. Because the stones are natural, each piece has a unique shade.
Care
Wipe it clean with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and strong, prolonged sunlight so the beauty of the stones and wood lasts.
