The sound of the sea in a drum
This special frame drum is two instruments in one. Move it slowly in a circular, tilting motion and its finely tuned mixture of glass and steel balls recreates the rolling of waves on the beach - which is why it is also known as an ocean drum, sea drum or wave drum. Play it with your hand or a mallet, and it works as a fully fledged frame drum.
Adjustable wave intensity
The balls sit between the natural skin and a mesh layer, and their quantity can be reduced via a side screw. You decide how strong the waves should sound: from a gentle, distant murmur to surf crashing on coastal cliffs.
Tunable goatskin, beech frame
The drum has a diameter of 40 cm and an 8 cm high frame made of seven layers of beech wood. The goatskin head is tunable with eight tuning screws using the included tuning key, so the drum sounds beautiful in humid or dry weather alike. At about 1.25 kg it is comfortable to hold even for longer periods.
