A long 30 × 50 cm cushion cover with stripes running parallel to the long side. Rows of pink ovals alternate with bands of turquoise, orange and blue on a light background. These are strong colours that you can see from across the room.
Made on a jacquard loom, the front has stripes built from the yarns themselves instead of sitting on the surface as dye. In the close-up photo you can see the many coloured threads running side by side. Its back is plain, natural-coloured fabric with a zip. Made in India.
You get a single cover, without a cushion pad. It needs a 30 × 50 cm inner cushion.
For a grey or beige sofa
It looks best on plain, quiet furniture. On a grey sofa or a beige armchair, this is the cushion people notice first when they walk in. Add one or two plain cushions beside it so the stripes do not get lost among other patterns.
For a child's room or a reading corner
Cheerful colours like these suit a child's room too. If you have a favourite reading chair, the long cushion fills the gap between the chair back and your lower back.
Stripes lying down or standing up
A 60 × 60 cm version of the neon stripes is also available. In the product photo the two cushions stand one in front of the other, with the stripes upright on the large one and lying flat on the small one.
Putting the pad in
The short side is 30 cm, about the length of a school ruler, and the long side is 50 cm. Look for a cushion pad of the same size.
Open the zip all the way, fold the pad in half and slide it in. Let it open out inside, push its corners into the corners of the cover, then close the zip. If it looks too flat to you, a plumper pad will fill it better.
