A cream 60 × 60 cm square cushion cover. Its pattern is a tone-on-tone diamond: on a cream base, a slightly darker, fluffier yarn draws large diamonds. From a distance it looks plain; in light from the side the pattern shows. Under an evening lamp the fluffy diamonds cast small shadows, while in daylight the cover looks more uniform.
Its front was woven on a jacquard loom in India. On the back is plain, natural-coloured fabric with a zip along the edge. The cover weighs 0.44 kg. You get one, without a cushion pad.
A base behind patterned cushions
As a large neutral surface, it belongs at the back, against the sofa back. Put a smaller patterned cover in front of it, such as Waves or Tribal, and the cream gives them a backdrop.
On light and dark furniture
Against a brown or dark fabric sofa, the cream stands out. Set on a light sofa, it almost blends in, and the diamond pattern gives it texture. If you have furnished the room in earthy colours, this cover fits right in.
The long cream one
A 30 × 50 cm lumbar version with the same pattern is also available. Together they give you one large and one smaller cushion in matching colour for the sofa.
Piping and fluffy diamonds
Cream piping runs round the edge, so the large square cushion has straight sides. The diamonds are drawn in a fluffier, slightly raised yarn, which a coat sleeve with a hook-and-loop fastener or a sharp ring can catch on.
Push the 60 × 60 cm pad in through the zip rolled up, let it open out and settle the four corners. If you prop it against the sofa back, a firmer pad holds its shape better.
