Both the cover and its pattern are cream; the pattern is just one shade darker. A slightly fluffier yarn draws large diamonds across it. From a distance it looks plain; up close and in side light the pattern appears. It measures 30 × 50 cm.
Its front was woven on a jacquard loom in India. On the back is plain, natural-coloured fabric with a zip along the edge. You get the cover only; there is no cushion pad inside.
A calm partner for patterned cushions
Patterned covers show up well next to cream. If you like the Waves or Tribal pattern, for example, put this one beside it and the sofa will not look too busy. It also goes well with earthy and pastel shades.
A light patch on dark furniture
On a brown sofa or a dark wooden bench, the cream cushion stands out. Placed on white bedding it almost blends in, and only the shadow of the diamonds shows.
For your back, or larger for the sofa back
For the corner of the sofa, or at your lower back in an armchair, this long shape works well. If you want something bigger for the back of the sofa, the same cream cover also comes in 60 × 60 cm.
Piping and a fluffy yarn
Cream piping runs round the edge, giving the long cushion a straight, defined outline. The yarn that draws the diamonds is fluffier and slightly raised, so a coat sleeve with a hook-and-loop fastener or a sharp ring can catch on it.
To fill it, fold the 30 × 50 cm pad in half, slide it in through the zip and settle the corners inside. If the corners look empty to you, a plumper pad will fill them.
