Sound and character
The thick cotton head meets the gong surface softly, so the highs do not jump out sharply while the bass and midrange unfold beautifully. The large head sets off a massive vibration that spreads across the body and rings for a long time. This is a mallet to build on if you want a long, deep gong bath.
How to use
Hold the mallet loosely around the middle so your wrist can work. Strike the gong slightly off-centre rather than in the middle, so the sound can wave outwards. With repeated strokes, wait until the sound has built up before adding the next impulse.

Care tips
- Store in a dry, dust-free place — cotton can compact when damp.
- Never leave the head in the sun or next to a radiator.

- For longer therapeutic work, keep several mallets of different hardness at hand.
