Keeping your chimes safe
Bar chimes are a delicate instrument: the metal tubes hanging side by side can easily knock together, get scratched, and even their fine tuning can suffer when carried without protection. This padded, size M soft bag was made for exactly this task: inside it, the instrument is protected from knocks, dust and scratches.
Which instrument does it fit?
The bag is designed for single-row chime models, sized to fit the maker's TRE23, TRE44 and TRE28 instruments. Its inner dimensions are approximately 57 × 21 × 3 cm - if your instrument falls within this range, the bag will hold it comfortably. For larger, double-row chimes the maker's bigger TRE51 bag is recommended.
Practical on the road and at home
If you are a music teacher, sound therapist or performing musician, you know how important it is to pack your instrument quickly and safely. The soft bag is light - only about 400 grams - yet gives reliable protection during everyday transport. It is also excellent for storage at home: the instrument stays dust-free and the tubes do not knock together on the shelf.
A useful tip
Always place the chimes in the bag with the tubes gathered and stilled, so they do not touch each other as you close the zip. This way your instrument will ring just as clearly years from now as it did on day one.
