A drum and a shaker in one instrument
At first glance the Chiadero looks like a classic frame drum, but as soon as you play it, it reveals its surprise: a shaker sound is built into the frame, blending gently with the warm, natural tone of the hand-selected goatskin. With one instrument you can drum and add a softly rustling accompaniment at the same time - as if a drum and a shaker were playing together.
German workshop quality, carefully selected materials
The frame is made of 6-ply beech wood, the head of hand-selected goatskin. The Chiadero is made in Germany, developed in collaboration with Tomas Millner and Danilo Raimondo. Eight tuning screws built into the frame let you adjust the skin tension - and with it the pitch and volume - precisely; the tuning key is included.
What can you use it for?
It is a versatile member of the frame drum family: a joyful companion for solo playing, jam sessions, studio recordings and live performances alike. Lovers of classic frame drums, tambourines and shakers will all find something to enjoy - and it is beginner-friendly too, as it is played by hand, without a mallet.
Measurements and care
The drum has a diameter of approximately 25 cm (10 inches), a height of about 6.2 cm and weighs only 0.8 kg - easy to hold even during longer sessions. The series is also available in a larger 40 cm version. Protect the skin from moisture and direct sunlight, and your instrument will sound beautiful for many years.
