This set contains eight hand-played tuning forks, each tuned to one of the chakras of the traditional Hindu and yoga system. Sound practitioners, yoga teachers and home meditators use them to bring their own — or their student's — attention onto a calm, clear tone.
How the eight forks are tuned
Beyond the seven main chakras, the set includes an eighth, so-called soul-star fork, which tradition places above the crown. The frequencies are as follows:

Tuning tolerance is ±0.25%, so the forks deliver a precise, repeatable pitch.
What an unweighted tuning fork means
The fork stems do not carry an extra weight at their ends, so they sound thinner and higher. Weighted forks work more on the body, with vibration placed on physical points; unweighted forks give a finer, clearer tone and simply tune you in to a particular pitch. This is why meditation and sound-bath practitioners often choose them.
How you use them
Hold the fork by its stem and strike it with a rubber mallet or against your knee through a soft cloth. Bring the head about 10-15 cm from your ear and listen as the sound slowly fades. You can step through the set in order from root to crown, or sound a single fork repeatedly when working with one specific chakra.
Material and finish
The forks are made of anodised aluminium, which adds a protective layer to the surface and gives the set its warmer gold colour. The forks range from 23 to 48 cm in length and arrive in a 43×29 cm storage case lined with soft blue velvet, making it easy to carry to a session.
Origin and weight
The set is made in India. Total weight with the case is about 750 g. This is a sound-work tool — the tones offer a pleasant, focusing experience, but please do not treat sound work as a substitute for medical care.
