Chakra Kadam Bracelet – Elastic, with Seven Chakra Gemstones

Chakra kadam bracelet with seven chakra gems: amethyst, lapis lazuli, iolite, peridot, citrine, carnelian, garnet. Nepalese handcraft, elastic, 8 mm beads.

The little sister of the mala

This bracelet is the little sister of the 108-bead chakra kadam mala. It uses the same materials in a smaller format: kadam wood beads of 8 millimetres and the seven chakra gemstones — amethyst, lapis lazuli, iolite, peridot, citrine, carnelian, and garnet. Strung on elastic cord, it slips onto the wrist easily.

The colours of the seven gemstones

Each gemstone brings a different colour to the bracelet: from deep purple amethyst through dark blue lapis lazuli, the fine blue of iolite, the green of peridot and the yellow of citrine, to red carnelian and deep red garnet. The different shades stand out beautifully against the warm tone of the wood.

The chakras in a nutshell

Tradition speaks of seven main chakras placed along the spine. Each one is linked to an area of life and a colour. The bracelet is not a medical device but a beautiful piece of jewellery with traditional motifs, which can remind the wearer to turn attention inward now and then. The properties of the gemstones are not scientifically proven.

How to wear it

The elastic bracelet slips on easily, with no clasp. Because it is handmade, small differences in size may occur. The 8 mm beads give a steady but not heavy weight, so it is a comfortable choice for all-day wear. It can be worn alone or as a companion to the 108-bead mala.

Storage and care

When not worn, keep it in its textile pouch. It is worth keeping the wood beads dry — take it off before showering or washing dishes. An occasional wipe with a soft cotton cloth preserves the warm glow. Strong perfume and chemicals should also be kept away from the gemstone beads.
