The seven chakras
In tradition, the chakras are subtle energy centres along the midline of the body, following the line of the spine. The seven main chakras are each linked by tradition to a distinct colour, quality and world of scent. Their meaning is part of tradition, not a medical effect.
The scents by chakra
- Muladhara – root chakra (red): cassia, clove, nutmeg
- Swadhishthana – sacral chakra (orange): cedar, spruce, rosemary
- Manipura – solar plexus chakra (yellow): bergamot, lime, grapefruit
- Anahata – heart chakra (green/pink): lavender, orange, tangerine
- Vishuddha – throat chakra (blue): Moroccan rose, chamomile
- Ajna – third eye (indigo): lavender, fir, chamomile
- Sahasrara – crown chakra (purple): patchouli, labdanum, frankincense
What's included?
Fourteen scented taper candles matched to the seven chakra colours, with two per chakra. The candles are a classic, slim taper form, around the 20 cm size range in the set's box, which fits most candle holders.
Safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it away from children, pets and flammable objects. Use a stable holder and place it on a heat-resistant surface, away from draughts.
