The 22.5 cm mandala-motif ceramic holder
This elongated ceramic incense holder was made in China. Its surface is adorned with a colourful, detailed mandala pattern. Thanks to the 22.5 cm length, even the longest thin-stick incense fits, while the ceramic tray catches the falling ash. You do not need a separate ash holder.
What the mandala symbolises
The mandala is a symbolic representation of the perfect, harmonious universe. In Hindu and Buddhist traditions, it serves as an object of meditation, helping focus the attention. Many people today choose a mandala pattern for their home because it visually supports slowing down and inner gathering. If you like to glance at such a pattern during meditation or evening unwinding, this holder offers that too.
Why the pattern does not wear off
The decoration is applied with a special decal process, and the ceramic is then fired at a high temperature. As a result, the colourful pattern almost becomes part of the material; it does not scratch off through use, and the heat of the incense does not fade it. We have found that even years of daily use do not degrade its appearance, so even if incense burns several times a week in your home, this holder is worth choosing.
Which sticks we recommend
The opening was designed for thin, Agarbatti or bamboo stick incense. It holds these sticks securely and steadily throughout the entire burn. It is not suitable for thicker Tibetan and Japanese sticks, as the opening will not hold these well.
Placement and cleaning
Place it on a heat-resistant flat surface, keeping a safety distance of 30 cm from curtains and paper. The narrow shape works particularly well on a living-room shelf, in a meditation corner, on the edge of a desk or on a bedroom nightstand. After use, wait until the holder has completely cooled, then wipe with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasives. The original cardboard packaging is also suitable for gifting.
