Beetroot Sprouts – Earthy-Sweet, Vivid Red, Rich in Betaine and Antioxidants
Beetroot (Beta vulgaris) sprouts are among the most colorful and striking home-grown sprouts — their vivid red-purple shoots carry a warm, earthy-sweet flavor that perfectly echoes mature beet but in a far more delicate and fresh form. The 200 g pack provides months of supply for healthy home sprouting.
Nutritional Benefits
Beetroot sprouts are notable for their betaine content — an amino acid-like compound that supports liver detoxification, anti-inflammatory processes, and cardiovascular health. The vivid red color comes from betacyanin antioxidants that strengthen cell protection. They also contain folate, manganese, potassium, and vitamin C.
- Outstanding betaine content (liver detox, anti-inflammatory)
- Betacyanin antioxidants (cell protection)
- Folate and manganese source
- Potassium and vitamin C
- Striking red-purple color — decorative and nutritious
How to Sprout
Soak beetroot seeds for 8–10 hours, then place in a sprouting jar or tray. Rinse twice daily with cool water and keep at room temperature. Red-purple stemmed sprouts develop in 5–7 days. Red discoloration of the rinse water is completely normal — it is a sign of betacyanin content, not a problem.
Usage Ideas
Beetroot sprouts look stunning in fresh salads, gourmet dishes, and Buddha bowls. Excellent combined with goat cheese, walnuts, balsamic vinegar, and arugula. Can also be blended into smoothies — adding a natural vibrant purple-red color while boosting betaine and antioxidant intake.
