The scent world that Sacred Protection paints
The scent begins with a soft, resinous, slightly sweet smoke note, evoking the image of temple incense and glowing cinnamon. After a few minutes the creamy, soft sweetness of vanilla steps forward, gently rounding the composition. Together the two notes create a feeling of safety and home. It is neither heavy nor smothering — rather a deep, embracing fragrance that even those who normally dislike incense-style smoke can grow fond of.
When this warm fragrance fits best
You may freely light it on cloudy, rainy afternoons, when the lack of natural light asks for a warm scent. It works beautifully before a festive dinner while waiting for guests, or during a long, solitary evening with a book. In winter months it sits very well next to a sofa blanket and a hot cup of tea. For a fresh, morning mood we instead recommend the fruitier or greener fragrances of the range.
Soy wax features from a health-conscious view
Soy wax is a plant-based, renewable raw material — a more natural choice than petroleum-derived paraffin. It burns more slowly, so it lasts longer, and releases fragrance more evenly throughout the burn. It produces less black soot, which means the glass walls stay cleaner and the surrounding surfaces (curtains, wall, shelf) also stay tidier. People with sensitive airways often find soy candles more pleasant than older paraffin types.
Handling the flame for longer life
On the first lighting, the goal is for the wax to melt to the edge of the jar — this takes about one and a half to two hours. If burned too briefly, a tunnel forms and part of the wax stays unused. Trim the wick to 5 millimetres before each lighting, and do not leave the trimmings in the melted wax. Do not move the candle while burning, and place it on a stable, heat-resistant base. Burn for no more than 3-4 hours at a time.
A second life for the glass jar
The clean shape and grey-gold design of the jar make it especially suitable as a decorative item once the candle is gone. Use it as a tiny cactus or succulent pot, a holder for cosmetic brushes, a kitchen spice container, or a holder for tealights. With a little decoration (string, a painted label) it can even become a small gift. Reusing the jar keeps the spirit of the candle alive.
