Why use a candle snuffer
When you blow out a candle, the wax can spatter in tiny drops, the wick smokes, and hot wax can stain surrounding surfaces. The candle snuffer is a simple, ancient solution: place the small bell-shaped head over the flame, the oxygen runs out in a few seconds and the flame extinguishes smoothly. The wick does not bend, does not smoke, and the wax does not splatter.
How to use it
Hold the long handle above the candle, gently place the bell head over the flame so it completely covers the wick. After a few seconds the flame goes out. Wait a few more seconds before lifting the bell, as the wick may still be hot. Because of the handle's length you do not need to bring your finger near the flame — making it safe even for candles in deep glass jars or tall holders.
Size and finish
The snuffer is made of gold-coloured metal alloy with a polished surface. The handle is long and slightly curved, with a small loop at the end so you can hang it on the wall or a hook. The bell head is small, roughly the size of a candle flame — suitable for most traditional and scented candles.
Cleaning
Wipe the bell head from time to time with a dry soft cloth, as wax vapour can build up on it. If stubborn wax has stuck, soften it in lukewarm water and gently remove with a wooden stick. Do not use chemicals, as the gold-coloured finish can be damaged.
Who we recommend it for
For anyone who regularly uses candles — for dinner, baths, meditation, evening reading. It also makes a nice gift alongside a scented or traditional candle. The gold colour gives a warm, classic feel to your candle ritual.
