The twelve signs of the zodiac have fascinated people for millennia: a pattern of stars to which we have attached stories, characters and cycles. This matt-metal tea light holder carries the zodiac motif and, in candlelight, casts the signs of the zodiac onto the wall.
The zodiac motif
The twelve signs of the zodiac follow the Sun's path across the sky through the year. By tradition each sign carries its own set of symbols and character traits; astrology is a millennia-old cultural heritage that appears across many civilisations.
Material and finish
It is made of metal with a matt-metal coating and a pierced design. It measures roughly 10 × 12.5 cm and suits both votive candles and tea lights. The flame projects the zodiac pattern onto the surrounding surfaces.
Where it looks best
It shows at its best on a shelf, a bedside table or in an intimate evening corner. It can be a lovely gift for anyone drawn to the stars and astrology.
Use and care
Place it on a stable, non-flammable surface, away from flammable objects. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Dust with a soft, dry cloth.
