California Wonder yellow pepper is the yellow variant of the classic American California-type blocky pepper. Indeterminate, outdoor, large-bodied, thick-fleshed. The fruits ripen from dark green to a beautiful yellow on the plant. The thick walls make it especially good roasted, stuffed and in salads.
Growing
Sow in February into seed trays (longer growing season). Transplant in late May to a sunny, warm spot. Row spacing 50 cm, plant spacing 40 cm.
Fruits ripen yellow in August–September. Uses: roasted pepper, stuffed pepper, fresh salad, grilled — the thick walls give a meaty texture that's perfect for any cooked preparation.
