Cajon Comparsa - Two Playing Surfaces

Compact cajon playable on both sides: the front gives a brighter quinto sound, the rear delivers strong bass. An ideal companion for jam sessions on the go.

One drum, two voices

What makes the Cajon Comparsa special is that both its front and rear sides are full playing surfaces. The front head with its brighter pitch produces a ringing quinto sound, while the darker rear head delivers a strong bass. With one compact instrument you get two distinct characters and can switch between them effortlessly while playing.

Small, light, ready to travel

Measuring approx. 35 × 25 × 23 cm and weighing about 4.3 kg, it is far smaller and lighter than a regular seat-sized cajon. That makes it an ideal companion for jamming in the park, trips, camps or simply the living room. Three sides are roughened with a special lacquer so you can hold it securely in your hands or on your lap without slipping.

Carefully selected woods

The body is made of hemlock, and the playing surfaces are covered with attractive burl design veneers that are as durable as they are beautiful. Thanks to German manufacturing, the workmanship is precise and reliable.

Who is it for?

If you enjoy making music with others but do not want to carry a large instrument, the Comparsa is an excellent choice. Music teachers love it for group sessions because two children can even play it at the same time - one on the bright side, one on the bass side. Beginners are welcome too: there is no tuning or maintenance needed, just take it on your lap and start the rhythm.
