Specifications
- Set contents: 8 individual bridges + 1 diatonic template
- Material: horsehide cover, brass pins
- Purpose: for the large single-sided monochord (MO-30K), to tune melody strings
- Origin: Germany
Sound and character
Placed under the strings, the bridges divide the string length and let you draw a koto-like, melodic playing style from the same set of monochord strings. The horsehide cover is gentle on the string and defines the new scale length cleanly, while the brass pins hold each bridge securely in place.
How to use
The diatonic template helps you position the eight bridges accurately along the scale. Slide the template under the strings, set the bridges on the marked spots, then re-tune the strings to the new scale length. Experienced players can also use the bridges freely, without the template, to build their own scales.
Why this product
- Expands the MO-30K monochord into melodic playing
- Diatonic template — fast, reliable placement

Care tips
- Mind your fingers when sliding bridges in — pinching is easy
- The brass pins are sharp; handle them carefully
- Always re-tune after repositioning
- An over-tightened string can snap — loose ends can cause cuts
- Store together with the template in a dry place
