Sound and character
Part of the Monolina XL's beauty comes from the bridges placed under its strings: they divide the sounding length so that the instrument can be both a continuous drone and a koto-like melodic instrument. A single well-placed bridge brings in a new pitch, a new colour and a new character. Thanks to the Monolina XL's larger size, the melodic sections offer a particularly full, ringing tone.
How to use
Slide the bridge under the strings and gently push it until you reach the pitch you want. Feeltone provides a position template that helps you find the recommended spots, but the template does not come with single bridges — it ships only with the full bridge set. In experienced hands, the bridge can be tuned to almost any note.

Care tips
- Always move the bridge in small steps — even a millimetre creates an audible difference.
- Do not overstretch the strings: a broken end snapping back can cause injury.
- The brass pins are sharp; work carefully so you do not pinch your fingers.
- Keep your own position notes at hand so you can return to familiar tunings quickly.
