This accessory set consists of 12 individual bridges and a diatonic template designed specifically for the Feeltone Large Concert Monochord (MO-46GK). The bridges are made of brass with handcrafted finishing, made in Germany. With the help of the template, you can quickly and accurately place the bridges under the strings to create a diatonic scale (c–g’) for koto-style melodic playing.
Sound and character
By placing the bridges, you transform the monochord's overtone-rich resonance into a defined diatonic scale, allowing for melodic, koto-like playing on the instrument. The brass bridges cleanly define the vibration of each string, producing precise and ringing notes at every bridge position.
How to use
The set is designed exclusively for owners of the Large Concert Monochord (MO-46GK). Using the template, you can position the bridges accurately within minutes and then retune the affected strings. Experienced players can also move the bridges freely to create their own custom scales. Adding and removing the bridges offers a practical way to bring different moods out of a single instrument.
