Sound and character
The bridge itself is not a sound source — it is the element that shapes the melodic character of the Concert Monochord (MO-30K). Slipped under a string, it splits the vibrating length exactly where you want, allowing any chosen string to ring out a separate, koto-like pitch. The result is surprisingly musical: one side of the string keeps a steady drone, while the other side voices the melody pitch you set.
How to use
Slide the bridge gently under the strings and move it along until you reach the pitch you are looking for. Feeltone publishes templates with recommended positions and matching pitches — these templates are not included with single bridges, only with the full bridge sets. An experienced player can move the bridge freely and tune the melody string to almost any note.
Why this product
Choose this single replacement bridge when you need a spare or an additional element for your MO-30K, or when you want to experiment with new melodic settings without dismantling your existing setup. It is a practical option for sound therapists and concert players who use the Monochord as a daily working instrument.
Care tips
- When tuning, always move the bridge in small steps and re-check the pitch.
- Never overstretch the strings — broken ends can snap back and cause injury.
- The brass pins are sharp; place the bridge under the strings carefully to avoid pinching your fingers.
- If you work with many different tunings, keep a personal note of your favourite bridge positions.
