Brass dowsing rod pair with copper handles, 29 × 8 cm

Brass dowsing rod pair with copper handles, 29 × 8 cm, with manual. Hand-made in India, for home practice.

A classic L-rod for home

This rod pair follows the well-known L-shape tradition: the 29 centimetre long part and the 8 centimetre short part together give a good ratio. An ideal ratio means that the rods remain balanced in your hands and move slowly and predictably. You receive a stable, reliable tool that you can practise with in the garden or inside the house. The included manual lets you learn the grip and basic movements step by step.

Brass rod and copper handle

The rod is made of brass, and the handle of solid copper. Together these two metals give a steady, slightly cool touch, which many beginners find pleasant. The 153 gram total weight is enough to prevent the rods from swinging too easily, while still letting them follow the fine movements of your hand precisely. The surface may develop a patina over time, which is a natural sign of regular hand use.

Two metals and even balance

The meeting point of the rod and handle is carefully made so the rod can turn freely. In technical language this is often called a 3:1 ratio, and it ensures that the piece swings evenly. So you do not need to worry about the rod getting stuck or moving irregularly. The two rods arrive equally weighted, which is important for parallel use.

The basic grip and a beginner exercise

Hold the rods loosely but firmly. Place your index finger about 2 centimetres below the top of the handle. Bend your arms at a right angle and keep the rods pointing forward, parallel to the ground. Ask a simple question and observe whether the rods cross, move apart or point in one direction. For a beginner exercise, look for an object in the room and try to guess its location based only on the movement of the rods.

Cleaning, storage, long use

After use, wipe the rods with a soft cloth and place them in a wooden drawer or a soft pouch. Do not use strong chemicals or scouring powders. If the surface darkens, a gentle brass cleaner can restore the original look. Keep them away from moisture and direct heat, such as next to a heater. This way the rod pair will reliably serve your practice for many years and will always be at hand when you need a calm moment.
