On the golden-brown surface of tiger eye, light travels in a silky band – a phenomenon called chatoyancy, and the stone's most distinctive feature.
About tiger eye
Tiger eye is a quartz threaded with iron compounds; these create its characteristic banded play of light. It has a strong link with the image of the sun and the solar plexus area. Tradition knows it as a stone of courage and protection, and many connect it with grounding and self-confidence, regarding it as a warming, uplifting companion.
Good to know
The beads are strung on an elastic cord with an inner radius of around 6 cm. As a natural stone, the shade and band of light are unique to each piece.
Care
