Two matching elastic bracelets: one in the warm, shimmering orange of sunstone, the other in the metallic gleam of hematite. They look good layered together and apart. The elastic cord needs no clasp and goes on easily.
The two stones
Sunstone belongs to the feldspar family and is made special by tiny platelets of hematite or goethite: in the light a golden-reddish shimmer (aventurescence) runs across it. Tradition knows it as a stone of joy and warmth. Hematite is an iron oxide mineral (Fe₂O₃) with a distinctive metallic, silvery-grey gleam and a surprising heft; the gold-coloured beads are coated by physical vapour deposition (PVD), which gives a durable, subtle golden tone. Crystal tradition knows it as a stone of focus and balance. These are traditions, not medical statements.
Two bracelets, many ways
The contrast of warm orange and cool metallic makes a lively yet balanced pair. Layered on one wrist the two bracelets have a sunny mood; worn apart they are more understated. They also make a lovely joint gift.
Care
Wipe them with a soft cloth and protect them from prolonged moisture and chemicals – hematite is sensitive to moisture. The sunstone's shimmer is most beautiful in sunlight. Each piece is unique: the shade varies a little.
