What makes moonstone special is its pearly, almost moonlit shimmer: light wanders softly across the surface of the stone.
About moonstone
Moonstone belongs to the feldspar family and is known for its characteristic mother-of-pearl glow. Its colour can range from bluish-white through reddish beige to yellow-green. In India it is called 'the dream stone'; tradition knows it as a companion for restful sleep and gentle, soft emotions, and regards it as a stone of cycles and renewal.
Good to know
The beads measure about 6 mm, strung on an elastic cord with an inner radius of around 7 cm. Even when polished, moonstone can have natural irregularities – these are part of the stone, not flaws.
Care
Moonstone is relatively soft, so protect it from knocks and scratches. Wipe with a soft cloth.
