Burgundy, rusty red, ochre and cream tones mingle on every bead: the mookaite bracelet is a warm, earthy piece with a living pattern. The roughly 6 mm AA-quality beads are strung on a stretch cord, so the bracelet slips on easily without a clasp.
About mookaite
Mookaite is a type of Australian jasper, mined in Western Australia near Mooka Creek — hence the name. Jasper is dense, microcrystalline quartz with a hardness of about 7 on the Mohs scale; mookaite's characteristic earthy patches and bands come from the iron oxides within. Tradition regards mookaite as a grounding, steadying stone, known as a stone of stability and balance.
Finish
AA-quality beads of roughly 6 mm on an elastic cord; the bracelet measures about 6 cm around. The finer beads give a restrained, graceful look. As a natural stone, each bead's pattern is unique.
Good to know
Its warm, earthy palette pairs with almost any outfit. The same bracelet is also available in larger 8 mm beads.
