Lava stone and amethyst in tradition
Lava stone is a volcanic rock in which the elements of earth and fire are both present; its porous surface can hold a drop of essential oil. Tradition links it with grounding and drive. Amethyst is the violet variety of quartz, known as a stone of calm and clarity; crystal lore regards it as a support for serenity and meditation.
Good to know
The beads measure about 6 mm, strung on an elastic cord with an inner radius of around 6 cm. As natural minerals, the shade may vary slightly from piece to piece.
Wearing and care
A drop or two of essential oil can be added to the lava beads. Wipe with a soft cloth, and remove before showering and sleeping.
