Golden-brown, silkily glinting and matte black beads alternate on the wrist: the tiger eye and lava stone bracelet forms a warm, earthy pair. The elastic cord is made with a wider circumference, so it goes on comfortably over a broader wrist. The beads are about 8 mm across.
The two stones
Tiger eye is a quartz in which iron-bearing fibres create its characteristic banded, silky shine (chatoyancy): as it moves, light runs across the surface in golden-brown and honey shades. Lava stone is a porous volcanic rock (basalt) formed from cooled lava – light, matte black, with a characteristically pitted surface.
Crystal tradition knows tiger eye as a stone of courage and confidence, and lava stone as a stone of grounding and steadfastness. Because of its porosity, many people also use lava stone for a drop of essential oil, as it holds the scent. These are traditions, not medical statements.
Wear and care
The contrast of warm gold and deep black gives a masculine, unisex look. Thanks to the wider circumference it sits well on a broader wrist. Wipe it with a soft cloth and protect it from prolonged moisture; do not soak the porous lava stone. Each piece is unique: the shade and shine may differ a little from the photo.
