A narrow, living line of light runs across every bead and follows your movement: the cat's eye bracelet takes its name from this distinctive, cat's-eye-like play of light. The roughly 6 mm AA-quality beads give a fine, graceful look, on a stretch cord with no clasp.
The cat's eye effect
The cat's eye is named for the narrow, moving band of light on its surface — a phenomenon called chatoyancy. Fine, parallel fibres or inclusions within the stone channel light into a single line that travels as the stone is turned, like a cat's pupil. On the finer 6 mm beads, the band of light has an elegant, understated effect.
Tradition
Tradition has long regarded the cat's eye as a stone of protection and watchfulness — a symbol of the "all-seeing eye" said to guard its wearer. These are traditional beliefs; as a piece to wear, it is a beautiful, shimmering companion.
Finish
AA-quality beads of roughly 6 mm on an elastic cord; the bracelet measures about 7 cm around. The finer beads make a graceful, light piece that suits a slimmer wrist well.
Good to know
The same bracelet is also available in larger 8 mm beads for a bolder look.
