About carnelian
Carnelian is the orange-red variety of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz), its colour coming from iron oxide. It has been used as a gemstone and power stone for thousands of years. The beads measure about 8 mm, strung on an elastic cord with an inner radius of around 6.5 cm. As a natural product, size, colour and shape may vary from piece to piece and differ from the image.
