An elastic, stretchy bracelet of 8 mm gemstone beads combining three striking stones – aquamarine, labradorite and tourmalinated quartz. The elastic cord means it slips on without a clasp and fits most wrists. With its cool, sea-toned shades it is a delicate, elegant piece.
The three stones
Aquamarine is the pale-blue, sea-blue variety of beryl; its name comes from the Latin for sea water, and tradition regards it as a stone of calm and of the seas. Labradorite is a type of feldspar marked by a distinctive blue-green play of light (labradorescence); tradition knows it as a stone of transformation and protection. Tourmalinated quartz is clear quartz threaded with black tourmaline needles; tradition regards it as a union of clarity and grounding.
How to wear it
The cool, sea-toned shades and the shifting play of light in labradorite make a delicate yet eye-catching piece. Worn on its own it is elegant, while layered with other pale-toned bracelets it gives a light, feminine look. Depending on the light, the blue-green flashes of labradorite give the piece a life of its own.
Size and make
The bracelet is about 9 cm across, made of 8 mm beads threaded on an elastic cord. As it is made of natural stones, colour, play of light and pattern vary from piece to piece, so every one is unique.
Care
Protect it from knocks, chemicals and perfume. When putting it on, hold the middle of the beads and do not overstretch the cord; a soft, dry cloth is enough to clean it.
