A light, stretchy amethyst bracelet of natural beads around 8 mm. The violet stones shade from pale lavender to deep purple, a noble, cool glow on the wrist.
Amethyst, fact and tradition
Amethyst is the violet variety of quartz, coloured by iron and natural irradiation; its hardness is around Mohs 7. Its notable sources include Brazil, Uruguay and Zambia. In the crystal tradition it is known as a stone of calm and clarity, a companion for settling and meditation, all of which is tradition, not medical fact.
Wearing and care
The elastic cord slips over most wrists; its deep colour sits well with pastel or transparent bracelets. As a natural mineral, every bead's shade is unique. Strong, prolonged sunlight can fade the violet over time.
