The softly banded agate beads give the wrist a calm, earthy look. The bracelet sits on an elastic cord and slips on easily.
Agate
Agate is the banded variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz; its concentric layers reveal a play of natural shades. It is a hard, durable stone, around 7 on the Mohs scale. Tradition knows it as a stone of grounding and stability, a favourite companion for meditation, and many keep it close as a stone of protection. These are traditional meanings, not health claims. The beads come from the Persian Gulf region.
Wearing and care
As a natural stone, every bead has its own shade and banding. Keep the bracelet away from water, perfume and cosmetics, and wipe it clean with a soft cloth.
