A three-piece, hand-held massage set in fragrant sandalwood, in a natural cotton bag. The warm, creamy-woody sandalwood feels pleasant to the touch and ages beautifully with use.
In the set
Triangular (finch) massager
A triangular tool whose shape recalls a finch – hence its name. Its longer edges can be used for a gentle scraping motion along the arms and legs, while its rounded ends suit point-by-point work on the face, body and soles.
Cross massager
A cross-shaped tool designed mainly for the soles of the feet. In the traditional massage approach it is used to gently stimulate the different areas and points of the foot.
Hexagonal massage ball
Rolled in the palm, it is meant for moving and relaxing the hand; with the strength of the hand it can also be pressed against points on the body. The rolling gives the hand a pleasant, invigorating feel.
About the tradition
In the Eastern massage tradition it is held that many nerve endings meet in the soles and palms, and that gently stimulating these points works the meridians. These are traditional ideas, not medical promises – the set offers the pleasant, relaxing experience of self-massage.
Material and storage
All three tools are made of solid sandalwood and come in a natural cotton bag, handy for storage and travel. The wood is best kept clean with a dry cloth.
