Black Spiced Tea Blend 50g
Our Black Spiced Blend is an artisan-style spiced black tea, perfect for those who enjoy full-bodied, characterful drinks. The foundation is a quality black tea, enriched with cinnamon, ginger, orange peel, green cardamom and cloves. Among warming blends in our selection, this stands out as one of the most comforting — equally at home for a lively morning start or a quiet afternoon pause.
If you are looking for a cup that brings a bit more personality than your everyday brew, without tipping into heavy or syrupy territory, this blend deserves a place on your shelf. The spiced aroma greets you as soon as you open the pouch. It is not a tea you buy for its fashionable sound — it is a tea you genuinely want to return to, day after day.
What's in the cup?
Black tea forms the backbone: gentle, slightly malty. Cinnamon and cloves deepen and warm the profile, ginger brings a bright, zingy lift, orange peel adds fruity clarity, and green cardamom closes with a floral, softly sweet note. Every ingredient supports the next, so the cup is harmonious rather than cluttered.
The spice ratios are carefully tuned: none overwhelms the cup, so the blend reveals new layers sip by sip. First comes cinnamon's warmth, then the depth of clove and cardamom, and finally the fresh finish of orange peel and ginger.
When to enjoy it
It shines in the morning: the caffeine in the black tea offers gentle energy, while the spices wake up the senses. On cold, grey afternoons it is equally welcome as a warming pick-me-up — with a squeeze of lemon or a splash of milk for extra comfort. If you like chai-style drinks but want something less sweet, this is a balanced middle ground. It is also a hit when you have guests — the aroma fills the kitchen and instantly creates a cosy atmosphere.
Brewing guide
Pour 200 ml of 90-95 °C water (just off the boil) over 2-3 grams of loose tea. Steep for 3-4 minutes, then strain. A drop of honey or a little milk is a classic pairing, though many will enjoy it plain to appreciate the spices in full. If you want a stronger cup, do not add more tea — steep a little longer; this deepens the character without adding bitterness.
Storage and freshness
Keep it away from direct light, in a cool, dry place, ideally in a well-sealed jar or tin. Treated this way, the aromas stay vibrant for longer. Once opened, best consumed within a few months for peak freshness. Avoid storing near the stove — heat and kitchen vapours accelerate aroma loss.
A gentle note
The blend contains caffeine, so keep this in mind if you are sensitive to it, expecting, or drinking late in the day. Some ingredients (notably the spices) carry a strong character; those prone to sensitivities may want to start with a smaller amount.
