What is a bio-tensor
A bio-tensor is a handheld instrument consisting of a long, thin, flexible steel rod and a hilt. This 28-centimetre piece is made with a polished rock crystal hilt. For you it works on a similar principle to a dowsing rod or a pendulum: it amplifies and makes visible the fine, barely perceptible movements of the hand through the vibrating steel rod. According to its maker, it is used primarily for energetic surveys and for sensing flows.
The rock crystal hilt
The hilt is made of polished rock crystal in India's traditional mineral-working workshops. The handle length stays within the overall tool length of about 28 centimetres and gives the clear, translucent character of the crystal. You will receive a glossy hilt that nestles into the palm and provides a reassuring feel with its weight of around 152 grams.
How to hold and observe the bio-tensor
Hold the hilt loosely, sloping slightly below the horizontal line. Do not grip it tightly: let the natural fine tremors of the hand come through. If the thin steel rod begins to move in circular or sideways motions, users consider this a signal. It is worth your while to begin from a neutral position so that you can become familiar with your own hand stability.
Cleaning and storage
The bio-tensor arrives in a luxury box, so you do not need a separate case for storage. Between uses, it is worth wiping the crystal hilt with a soft, dry cloth. For cleaning the crystal, cold or lukewarm running water may also be used, but wipe it dry immediately afterwards. Keep the steel rod loose and untwisted so that its elasticity is preserved.
What to watch out for
The bio-tensor is not a medical device, but a sensitive traditional surveying tool. A calm setting, a stable posture, and slow, natural breathing are important during your use of it. If you are a beginner, you will become confident in observation after a few days of practice. The crystal hilt is fragile, so avoid dropping and knocks.
