Berényi F1 mildly hot TV pepper hybrid — white, large hanging fruits, modern Bogyiszló-type variety.

Berényi F1 hybrid is the modern version of the traditional Bogyiszló pepper. Indeterminate, with strong shoots. The fruits are beautifully white, large, and hanging. The flavour is mildly hot — meaning the dish gets a paprika kick, but not so strong that you can't enjoy a lot of it.

Sowing and growing

Sow in February–March into seed trays. Transplant in late May to a warm, sunny spot. Row spacing 60 cm, plant spacing 40 cm. Staking is essential due to the tall growth.

Fruits ripen from July onwards. Excellent in lecsó, chicken paprikash, pickling — the slightly spicy character lifts every traditional Hungarian dish.
