Benzoin (Dilute/Dpg) Essential Oil 50ml
“Dilute/Dpg” means this benzoin essential oil is diluted in dipropylene glycol (DPG). It is made from the resin of the benzoin tree (Styrax benzoin) by solvent extraction; on its own the extract is very thick and sticky, so it is diluted to make it easy to use drop by drop. The 50 ml size is practical if you use it regularly and in larger quantities.
A sweet, vanilla-like resin scent
Its scent is sweet, warm and long-lasting. Benzoin has long been used in incense and perfumery, and it makes a good base for your own fragrance blends, for example alongside orange, sandalwood or rose.
For scenting, not for direct skin use
In an oil burner, put a little water in the bowl and add 3–5 drops. Do not apply it directly to the skin; if you add it to a skincare product, use only a small amount and do a patch test first. Keep away from the eyes and out of reach of children, and store it tightly closed in a cool, dark place.
