Beater (sticks) for monochord

Feeltone monochord beater – original handcrafted accessory for playing the strings. German quality.

Introduction

These sticks are made specifically for the Feeltone Monolini and Monolina monochords, for percussive, santoor-like playing. Thin, light sticks that conjure rhythmic, floating sounds from the strings — a new approach that brings you closer to a hidden side of the instrument.

Specifications

Sound and character

With the sticks you can draw a percussive, santoor-like sound from the monochord. Held by the thin end, the thicker end is used to strike the strings rhythmically. If you slide your thumb forward on the stick so that it presses against the strings on impact, a fluttering, drum-like effect develops — similar to a drum roll.

How to use

Hold the stick by the thinner end and rhythmically strike the strings with the thicker end. Try sliding your thumb forward — this presses the stick onto the strings and creates a fluttering, drum-like sound.

Why this product

The monochord is not only for meditative sound baths — with these sticks an entirely new musical territory opens up. If you want to expand the instrument's playing techniques, this small accessory is a serious step forward.
