Comfort for the top of your bass cajon
Anyone who has sat on a wooden box for an hour knows how quickly a hard seat becomes tiring. This thin pad solves exactly that - it brings the familiar seating comfort to the larger bass cajons as well. Fitting takes seconds: simply lay it on top of the instrument and you can play in comfort straight away.
How is it different from an ordinary cushion?
The pad is only around half a centimetre thick, so it does not bounce or wobble: you stay firmly connected to the instrument and your playing precision is unaffected. At the same time it cushions the pressure of the hard wooden edge, keeping you comfortable through long rehearsals, lessons and gigs. At barely 90 grams you will not even notice it when carrying your cajon.
Size and compatibility
The pad measures approximately 37 × 27 cm, which according to the manufacturer suits all of their bass cajons. If you own a larger, deep-tuned cajon, this pad was made specifically for it - for standard-size cajons the manufacturer offers separate pads.
Care
The pad needs no special maintenance: wipe it with a slightly damp cloth when necessary and let it dry. Store it flat or on top of your cajon so it keeps its shape.
Travels with the instrument
Many players simply leave the pad on top of the cajon during transport, as the thin panel adds almost nothing to the overall size. In most cases it fits alongside the instrument in a standard cajon bag, so everything stays together when you head to a gig.
