The bamboo tray is 24 cm wide, 18 cm deep and 5 cm high. Dividers split the inside into 12 compartments, four across in three rows. Its sides are wedge-shaped, so the tray tilts slightly forward and the back row is easy to see into. Made in China, it weighs 360 g.
A compartment for every stone
Each compartment is roughly 5 × 5 cm, enough for a few tumbled stones, a small rough crystal or a handful of crystal chips. If you collect stones, you can keep each kind in its own compartment with its name written on a small card. That way you always know which stone is which, and a new one easily finds its place.
For jewellery, buttons and shells
Rings, earrings and pendants fit well too, so they don't tangle in a drawer. In a sewing corner it keeps buttons tidy, or the shells you brought home from holiday. If you make jewellery, beads and clasps can go in separate compartments by colour. At a craft fair stall, small jewellery and stones sit neatly in it.
A first crystal collection as a gift
Fill the 12 compartments with 12 different stones and you have a small crystal collection. It makes a lovely gift for a curious child or a beginner collector, especially with each stone's name written beside it. Any stone can later be swapped for a newly found one.
On a table or in a drawer
At only 5 cm high, it slides into a deeper drawer, but it looks just as good on a table or chest of drawers. To clean it, wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it. Don't soak it in water.
