Can I use regular stick incense on this stand?

No, the Wiki Waterfall only works with backflow cones. A backflow cone has a small hole at its base through which the denser smoke flows downward, creating the waterfall effect. Regular sticks or standard cones release smoke upwards and will not produce any visible movement on this holder. For stick incense please choose a dedicated ash-catcher tray.

How long does one cone burn and how smoky does the room get?

Accepted Answer

A backflow cone burns for 20-30 minutes. It produces a continuous, visible flow of smoke but does not leave the room heavily scented - the effect is more of a fine fragrant mist. We recommend a slightly open door or window for air exchange during use, and a few extra minutes of ventilation after the cone burns out. Not recommended for prolonged inhalation by young children or those with respiratory sensitivity.

How do I clean the ceramic surface after use?

Accepted Answer

After each burn, small brown-black marks remain around the lower openings - this is normal. Once the stand is fully cool, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth or microfibre. For stubborn spots a drop of mild dish soap works, but dry immediately. Do NOT submerge in water: the ceramic can absorb moisture and crack over time. Avoid abrasive sponges or scouring powders to protect the matt finish.
