Pineapple waterfall with a double cascade
This Pineapple Waterfall holder combines two vertical cascade points in a single 0.760 kg ceramic sculpture: a stylised pineapple and an adjacent rocky waterfall. A lit backflow cone releases cooled smoke that flows down both channels, so the base is covered by two streams at once – a striking centrepiece for larger rooms.
How to use it
Place a backflow cone in the top opening, light the tip, wait for a steady ember, and blow out the flame. Smoke begins cascading first on the pineapple, then appears on the rocky side a few seconds later, often in an alternating rhythm depending on air movement. Only backflow cones produce the descending flow – ordinary cones or sticks won't create the effect.
Placement and care
Thanks to its visual weight, the piece works best as a centrepiece – the middle of a console, a bookshelf focal point, a small coffee table. Keep away from drafts so the two streams don't merge prematurely, and raise it out of reach of children and pets while in use. Clean both cascade paths with a damp soft cloth after cooling, and use a soft brush for residue in the pineapple's detailed surface. Avoid submerging in water or using abrasive cleaners.
