The calm sight of a smoke waterfall
This 16.5 × 13 × 6 cm ceramic incense burner is more than a simple holder: it is a small artistic piece showing the Buddha sitting on the moon. With special backflow incense cones the smoke does not rise upward but flows slowly down across two plateaux, like a white mist waterfall.
How it works
The secret is simple physics: inside a backflow incense cone (not included, sold separately) there is a small channel through which the denser, cooler smoke travels downward. When you light the cone placed on the top of the holder, the smoke first rises and then flows down along the two plateaux around the Buddha figure.
Suitable for thin sticks too
The holder is also suitable for thin, traditional incense sticks. Place the stick into the small opening next to the Buddha figure and light its tip. This way you can enjoy the piece not only with the striking backflow cones but also with your usual scented incense sticks.
Where to place it at home
The incense burner looks beautiful on a low table, shelf, in a meditation corner or beside your desk, where it can be seen clearly. Place it on a heat-safe surface and keep curtains, paper and any flammable items at a distance. The quiet sight of the calm flowing smoke can help with focus and unwinding.
Care and a safety note
After use wipe it with a damp cloth and remove ash with a soft brush. Please do not put it in the dishwasher. Never leave the lit incense unattended and keep it away from children and pets. Ceramic is fragile, so please handle it gently when moving or cleaning. The Buddha figure rests calmly even when the cone is not lit, so the piece works as a peaceful little statue on a shelf during quieter days as well.
