Sound and character
This Baba Tong package brings the complete set: the same hand-tuned, twin-surface drum that is the only wooden slit drum on the market with bass and five-finger sides side by side. The leaf-shaped layout of the tongues hides the scale, keeping playing intuitive yet always melodic. The voice is full and warm, with deep vibration on the bass side and shimmering overtones on the higher side.
How to use
With the included foam feet you can play the drum on a table or on the floor, making it equally at home in children's sessions, therapy rooms or outdoor circles. The carry bag has a separate pocket for the mallets, so everything travels together. Play with your fingertips or use the mallets — the dripple technique brings out striking, floating patterns.

Care tips
For the best sound strike near the base of the tongues and try the bounce of the mallet ball gliding across multiple tongues. Store the drum in its bag in a dry place. Do not insert objects into the slots and avoid sitting on the instrument. From time to time refresh the wood with a thin layer of hard wax oil.
