The mature character of dark patchouli
For you, dark patchouli represents the long-matured variant — a deeper, earthy-balsamic fragrance picture than traditional patchouli, sharing common features with the air of forest litter and a cool cellar. The first minutes give an earthy, slightly tart opening, then a rich, balsamic heart note. The room air becomes full, with a mature character that lasts on textiles for many hours.
How to use it
Patchouli is a strong-character oil — for a smaller (10-15 m²) room, 2 drops are enough; for a medium room 3-4 drops; for a larger space 5-6 drops are ideal. Drop into the lukewarm water bowl of the diffuser, light a tealight beneath it, or switch on the electric device. The warmth slowly releases the fragrance.
Other ways of use
Drip onto a neutral fragrance stick base, charcoal, or a wooden pendant (fragrant amulet). A few drops on a handkerchief on the bedside table give a warm, matured evening mood. Do NOT apply it directly to the skin — this is a fragrance oil, not a body care product.
When it is a good choice
It suits cool autumn and winter evenings most, beside a book, for a quiet dinner, or simply for focused work. The character of patchouli is somewhat more grounded than that of floral oils — so if you seek a “more serious” mood at home, you are in a good place here. For morning, fresh moods, choose the bergamot or citrus line instead.
Storage and cautions
Keep in a cool, dark place, well closed. Patchouli oil may mature further over years — the longer it stands sealed, the deeper its character becomes. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not consume, avoid eye contact. In case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of water.
