This 20 cm crystal hanger is made of a faceted sphere and seven small, octagonal crystals. In sunlight the cut facets break the light into rainbow points that dance across the walls – giving the room a lively, joyful mood.
The meaning of the sphere
The round crystal ball symbolises oneness and all-embracing wholeness. Its form is soft and welcoming, which is why it is a favoured centrepiece for window decorations.
Seven chakra crystals
Seven small octagonal crystals line the hanger, symbolising the seven main chakras. Eastern tradition describes the chakras as subtle energy centres arranged along the spine, each associated with a different colour and quality.
Feng Shui in the home
Feng Shui is a Chinese way of thinking, over three thousand years old, about how surroundings affect well-being and how the energy of a space – the harmonious flow of chi – can be guided. Crystal hangers like this are traditionally used to enliven a space and bring in light and movement, in living rooms, bedrooms or studies.
Where to place it
It is most beautiful in a sunlit window, where light passes through the cut surfaces. With its turning motion and play of colour, it can be a living ornament for a room bathed in morning light.
